UAE AI Leaders Strengthen Global Partnerships During US Visit
The United States recently welcomed a high-level delegation of Chief Artificial Intelligence Officers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The visit was organized by the US–UAE Business Council and brought together more than 180 leaders. It created a platform for UAE officials to meet AI experts, business leaders, and senior US government officials. This gathering highlights the UAE’s efforts to become a global leader in digital governance and AI innovation.
AI is a National Priority for the UAE
Engineer Mohamed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services in the UAE, said artificial intelligence is a top priority for the country. He explained that adopting AI across government services will make operations more efficient and innovative.
Bin Taliah emphasized that partnering with global technology leaders helps the UAE share knowledge, explore best practices, and develop national talent. These collaborations will help build a smarter, more advanced digital future for the country.

Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Government’s Cybersecurity Council, highlighted the rising threat of cyberattacks. He said working with other countries on cybersecurity is no longer optional—it is necessary.
“These discussions show the UAE’s leadership in cybersecurity and its commitment to global cooperation,” Dr. Al Kuwaiti said. He added that the UAE is investing in new technologies, training local experts, and sharing knowledge to protect data and critical infrastructure. This approach ensures that AI projects are safe, secure, and resilient.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the UAE Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, said the visit shows the UAE’s vision of a digital future built on international collaboration.

They also met leaders from the Bay Area Council, Carla Mays and David Capelli, Co-Founders of SmartCohort, and Doug Bruhnke, CEO of Global Chamber.
These meetings allowed UAE officials to learn about the latest AI technologies, understand how they can be used in government, and explore potential collaborations. The discussions emphasized the UAE’s commitment to adopting advanced AI solutions in public services.
