The city of Al Ain witnessed a proud moment for the UAE’s workforce this week. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region, launched the National Talent Empowerment Forum in Al Ain. The event took place at ADNEC Al Ain and focused on creating more job opportunities for Emiratis.

The forum was organized by the Mawahib Center, part of the Abu Dhabi Government Empowerment Department, in partnership with several government, semi-government, and private organizations. During the event, 17 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to offer over 3,000 jobs for Emiratis in different fields such as finance, education, technology, and customer service. The move supports the UAE’s national goal to empower Emiratis and boost the country’s economic growth.

Emiratisation: A Key National Priority

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that Emiratisation is one of the most important goals of the UAE’s leadership. Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the nation continues to support Emiratis in both public and private sectors.

He highlighted that developing national talent is vital for building a knowledge-based economy. By training Emiratis to take on roles in key industries, the UAE ensures that its people drive progress and innovation. Sheikh Hazza also encouraged all government and private institutions to work together and invest in Emirati professionals, calling them the true foundation of national development.

The forum underlined that empowering local talent not only supports individual careers but also strengthens the entire economy. It reflects the UAE’s long-term vision to create a workforce ready to meet future challenges.

17 MoUs to Boost Emirati Employment

The signing of 17 new MoUs marks an important step toward providing meaningful career opportunities for UAE citizens. The agreements will connect Emiratis to jobs across several important sectors, including advanced technology, aviation, manufacturing, banking, and education.

Some of the key organizations that took part in the agreements include the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, ADNOC, Mubadala, e& (Etisalat), G42 Group, and Abu Dhabi Aviation Group. These partnerships show strong collaboration between the government and major industries to support Emirati employment.

Each MoU includes training, skill development, and hiring programs that will help Emiratis build successful and long-term careers. These programs are designed to match real-world needs, preparing job seekers for roles that fit today’s fast-changing markets.

Empowering Emirati Talent Through Partnerships

Ibrahim Nasser, Undersecretary of the Government Empowerment Department, said the initiative highlights the leadership’s commitment to empowering Emiratis. “Together with our partners, we are creating more than 3,000 jobs for Emiratis in key sectors,” he said.

He added that the department is building a complete system to support job seekers, from education and training to employment and growth. This system helps Emiratis find the right opportunities and gain the skills needed for long-term success. It also benefits the Al Ain community by boosting local employment and economic activity.

The forum also explored current and future job market trends. It focused on how education can be better aligned with industry demands. This ensures that graduates enter the workforce with relevant knowledge and practical experience.

Preparing Emiratis for Future Jobs

The National Talent Empowerment Forum stressed that Emiratisation is not only about creating jobs—it is about building strong and capable individuals. The UAE aims to prepare its citizens for the industries of the future, from artificial intelligence and 3D printing to fintech and aviation.

Sheikh Hazza emphasized that government departments, educational institutions, and private companies must work hand in hand. By doing so, they can prepare Emiratis to lead in different industries and keep the nation’s progress moving forward.

This approach supports the UAE Centennial 2071 and the National Strategy for Advanced Skills, both of which focus on human capital development. By training, hiring, and mentoring national talent, the UAE ensures that its workforce remains skilled, confident, and globally competitive.

The Mawahib Center: Connecting Talent With Opportunity

The Mawahib Center plays a key role in making Emiratisation efforts successful. It works under the Abu Dhabi Government Empowerment Department and focuses on identifying, training, and connecting Emirati professionals with suitable employers.

Through strategic partnerships and development programs, the Mawahib Center helps match job seekers with organizations that can help them grow. It also provides career guidance and learning opportunities to ensure Emiratis are ready to meet the needs of the modern workplace.

The center’s efforts have already helped many Emiratis enter fields such as technology, education, and aviation. It continues to create platforms that support young professionals who want to contribute to the country’s progress.

Leadership Support for Human Capital Development

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that human capital is the UAE’s most valuable resource. He stressed that the country’s progress depends on the skills and abilities of its people. This is why continuous investment in education and talent development remains a top priority.

The event was attended by several senior officials and leaders. Among them were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports; Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, Minister of Education; Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmanan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation; Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi; Sara Awadh Issa Muslim, Chairperson of the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi; Hajar Ahmed Al Dhahli, Secretary-General of the Council for Education, Human and Community Development; Ahmed Tamim Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Government Empowerment Department; and Ghanem Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council.

Al Ain’s Role in National Workforce Development

By offering more than 3,000 job opportunities, this initiative will give many Emiratis a chance to build careers close to home. It also supports balanced development across all UAE regions, ensuring that Al Ain continues to contribute to the nation’s progress.

The forum also focused on developing skills for the future, preparing Emiratis to take part in industries like technology, innovation, and sustainability. These efforts will not only reduce unemployment but also encourage young citizens to lead change in their communities.

Building a Future-Ready Emirati Workforce

The “National Talent Empowerment Forum in Al Ain” represents a major step toward shaping the UAE’s future workforce. It combines education, training, and job creation under one vision—to empower Emiratis and strengthen the national economy.

The UAE’s approach to human capital development ensures that its citizens can adapt to global changes while keeping national values and goals at heart. With continuous support from leadership and industry partners, the UAE is setting a strong example for workforce growth in the Middle East.
