The June programme not only celebrates cultural diversity but also empowers individuals to learn, grow, and share in a space designed to inspire.

Shakespeare-Inspired Theatre Workshop Opens the Month

To kick off the June cultural series, MBRL will host an engaging theatre workshop in collaboration with the Dubai National Theatre. This interactive session is inspired by William Shakespeare’s timeless play Romeo & Juliet, focusing on essential elements like character development, dramatic tension, and the expressive power of language.

Participants will delve into the themes of conflict, love, and tragedy as they develop their writing and performance skills. Whether you are a budding playwright, drama student, or literature enthusiast, this workshop offers a creative platform to elevate your storytelling abilities while gaining fresh insight into one of the world’s most iconic plays.

Rhythm of Dialects: A Poetry Evening Celebrating Arab Heritage

MBRL’s cultural offerings continue with Rhythm of Dialects, a special poetry evening designed to showcase the richness and diversity of spoken Arabic dialects from regions including Egypt, the Levant, and the Gulf.

Renowned poets will take the stage to share emotionally resonant works in their native dialects, each piece reflecting the musicality and cultural depth of the spoken word. Enhancing the atmosphere, live musical performances will accompany the readings, immersing the audience in a powerful blend of language and sound.

This event not only celebrates the beauty of regional dialects but also serves as a tribute to the living oral traditions that continue to shape Arab identity and creative expression.

Emirati Treasures Exhibition: Preserving the UAE’s History Through Stamps

Adding a historical layer to the programme, MBRL will host a compelling two-day exhibition titled Emirati Treasures Sealed by History: From Memory Archives to Treasures for Generations. Organized in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association, the exhibition will feature a rare collection of postage stamps marking major milestones in the UAE’s journey.

The stamps, carefully curated from personal and institutional archives, serve as miniature artworks that reflect national pride, unity, and historical evolution. Visitors will gain insight into how philately helps document and preserve collective memory.

The exhibition will also include a workshop and discussion on the art of stamp collecting, offering valuable guidance to hobbyists and history enthusiasts on how to archive and safeguard national heritage.

Career Workshop: Ready for the Workplace – Beyond the CV

In response to the changing demands of the modern job market, MBRL will present a vital workshop titled Ready for the Workplace – Beyond the CV. Designed specifically for students, recent graduates, and job seekers, the session will provide hands-on guidance on how to build a strong professional presence.

Key topics will include optimizing LinkedIn profiles, crafting a compelling digital portfolio, networking effectively, and mastering job interview techniques. By moving beyond the traditional CV, this session equips participants with the real-world tools needed to succeed in dynamic career environments.

The workshop reflects MBRL’s mission to support lifelong learning and professional development for Dubai’s emerging workforce.
